Assignment #9 Animals ~ Kristi

Requirement 1 ~ Up Close

"You going to Eat That?"

Egrets were all over in the open air dining room. If you weren't careful they would steal food from your plate, or utensils or tips off the tables.

White Egret

Still looking for an easy meal

Requirement 2 ~ Setting, Background, Environment, Scene

Life's a Beach

These crabby little guys were everywhere on this area of the beach. I loved all the different kinds of shells they had.

Statuesque

Open dining area where egrets & black birds tried to steal your food.

Requirement 3 ~ Uncommon Perspective

I Hate Having My Picture Taken

Tia hates standing still to have her picture taken and she is always just a little afraid of the camera so I have to take them fast before she moves.

Requirement 4 ~ Dramatic Lighting - natural or artificial light

Pool Ornaments

I liked the lighting in this one where you see the storm moving in over the ocean in the back, and the calm pool with sunshine in the foreground. Not to mention the real pool ornaments taking a little break themselves.

Requirement 5 ~ Action

Brown Pelican Trying to Catch Some Dinner

I heard a loud splash and this giant bird was doing what would be similar to our version of a belly flop into the water. These pictures were taken near sunset, and it was just kind of fun watching them diving at the water.

Assignment #9 Part Two ~ Your Choice

Just Enjoying the Weather in My Beautiful Wool Coat

Captured a picture of this llama out by Intake on a nice sunny day just taking it easy.

Ice Formations

Ice formations on the Yellowstone that formed some pretty cool crystal type formations. Gave it a little bit of blue tint to take out the murky brown.

Assignment #9 Animals Emily

Part 1
Up Close
This is my "puppy" Evander. He just turned a year old in March, but he is huge! I really wanted a picture of his tongue so my mom was holding some food above him while I took the photo.

This is my other dog, Copper. She is two-years-old. She sat down nicely (for some food of course) and let me take this picture.

 The Setting, Background, Environment, Scene
This is our kitten, Lucifer. Don't let his cute and innocent looks fool you, he is extremely ornery. I caught him at a civil time to take this picture.

Uncommon Perspective
Copper loves car rides, so one day when I was home, my mom, dad, and I took a joy ride. The dogs loved it.

Here's Evander peeking out the window. He likes to jump out the window to chase things, so my mom is holding him in the backseat.

 Dramatic Lighting - Natural
We saw this cat on our drive, and I decided to take a picture. He was a big cat! The lighting outside was also really nice.

Action
This is at the pond near Saint Marie. My dogs were running around and having a grand old time.

Part Two
Easter

My first day of Easter break consisted of going to a freezing track meet on Thursday. This is my brother, Matthew, jumping for long jump.

My mom and I spent some time last weekend taking Matthew's senior pictures. I like this photo because he's serious, but it's funny too because he's touching the duck.

This is Kellan. He is one of my cousins that I stayed with this week. His parents are in the Bahamas for their 10th wedding anniversary, so my mom was babysitting him and his brother, Landen.
